The Steinway model A 2 with a round tail was built in 1900 and is 6' long. The current Steinway model A is 6'2". For a short while 1913-1947 there was a 6' 4 1/2" model A 3 called the Long A. the Model A Salon Grand piano is known for delivering a “grand” sound in a medium-scale instrument. Great starter piano.

The Baldwin 243 was the leading school piano during the 1970's-1990's. Made to stand up to the heavy playing of piano majors, and easy access to the cabinet for tuner/technicians. A very nice starter piano.

Good starter piano.

This is not a toy piano, just a regular piano with 64 keys instead of the usual 88. This piano’s small size makes it ideal for small apartments, country homes, patios, schools, trailers, churches, or small performance spaces and stages - anywhere a small sturdy piano is wanted. Melodigrand is probably the world's foremost manufacturer of the short keyboard piano. The 64-key piano provides over 5-1/2 octaves. I can’t tell for sure its age of manufacture, but I’m guessing 1960s - 1980s. It weighs about 200 - 250lbs which makes it extremely ‘portable’ by piano standards.

The Everett Piano Company was a great old American brand and was a purchased by Yamaha Piano Company in 1973 and the factory was used to build the American Built Yamaha for 13 years.

This was one of the leading starter pianos for many school children during the 1960's and 70's. Make us an offer.

In 1936 Baldwin introduced the Acrosonic Spinet piano which was to become the largest selling piano type of all time, the single most popular instrument in the world. It was one of the few pianos built during World War 2. None were manufactured after 2005. At one time the spinet was the most popular, most sought after used for "beginners" - "student model", and was popular until after the 1980’s and those still in use number over 1 million. Most modern teachers and musicians would prefer the taller pianos with direct blow action instead of the drop action found in the shorter spinet pianos. The Spinet vertical piano is not to be confused with the much older Spinet' which was a small harpsichord.

This was interior designer promoted during the 1950's. The spinet size was the most popular starter piano for many homes during that period. Still liked by many.

The Steinway D is the most often seen on the concert hall stage. With classical music, it is the gold standard. Check this mighty almost 9' long concert grand.
